Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) issues the following statement:
“Frederick is a lovely place to live, work, and raise a family. With Frederick’s tremendous assets, it isn’t surprising that the rest of the nation is starting to notice what we’ve known in Maryland for years: Frederick is a jewel. I’d like to congratulate Frederick on being named one of the best downtowns in America.
The revitalization of downtown Frederick is one of the great economic development success stories in our region. The beautiful and thriving Frederick of today didn’t happen overnight, it has been the product of the hard work of the people of Frederick, including elected officials, business owners, and dedicated citizens working together to build a better city. I’m proud to represent Frederick and believe that the city sets an example for other communities around the country to follow.”
