Delaney successfully introduced an amendment to the 2018 Defense Appropriations Bill (H.R. 3219) Thursday that prohibits any Department of Defense funds from being used to close a biosafety level 4 laboratory, including the National Biodefense Analysis and Countermeasures Center (NBACC) in Frederick, Maryland.

The Early Learning Act provides states with federal funding to establish high-quality free pre-k programs for all four year old children.
