Delaney to Host Vietnam War Commemoration and Pinning Ceremony November 8 in Frederick
Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) will hold a Vietnam War Commemoration and Pinning Ceremony on Wednesday November 8 in Frederick. The event will honor Vietnam War period veterans and take place at Frederick High School at 7:30 PM.
The Vietnam War Commemoration program, established by the National Defense Authorization Act in 2008, tasked the Department of Defense with conducting programs nationwide to thank and honor Vietnam period veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.

The pinning ceremony recognizes those who have served between November 1, 1955 and May 15, 1975, regardless of where they served during that time. Veterans who served during the Vietnam period, as well as surviving spouses and next-of-kin, are eligible to receive an official Lapel Pin to honor and thank them for their service.
