Delaney Joins Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus
WASHINGTON – Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) has joined the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus, a bipartisan group of 102 Members committed to achieving full and equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in the United States.
“LGBT Americans are our neighbors, our coworkers, members of our families; they deserve a full and equal chance to live the American Dream,” said Congressman Delaney. “We’ve made incredible progress on equal rights and equal respect for LGBT Americans, but our work is not done. I’m proud to stand with my colleagues in the LGBT Equality Caucus to make sure we keep moving forward and not take a single step backward.”
The caucus is chaired by the six openly LGBT members of the House of Representatives. Congressman Jared Polis (CO-02), Congressman David N. Cicilline (RI-01), Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18), Congressman Mark Pocan (WI-02), Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema (AZ-09), and Congressman Mark Takano (CA-41).
